Terms of use
Last updated: 15 October 2026
In short: QuietLine is free, with a small calm ad. We provide it as it is, and we're honest about what it can't do. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
QuietLine™ is made and published by Controlled Systems Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17118598), registered office 58 Broton Drive, Halstead, England, CO9 1HB. QuietGuard™ is a brand of the same company. In these terms, "we" and "us" means that company. You can reach us at support@quietguard.io.
2. What QuietLine is
QuietLine is a call blocker for Android phones. Calls from the numbers you trust ring as normal; every other call stays quiet, and you can see it later in Activity.
3. Free, with ads
QuietLine is free to download and use, with no subscriptions. A small banner ad on some screens helps keep it free. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to install and use QuietLine on phones you own or look after.
4. What QuietLine can't do
QuietLine does one thing: it decides whether an incoming call rings. We want you to know its limits just as clearly:
- Calls from numbers that aren't on your trusted list stay quiet, including calls you may want, such as a delivery driver or a new number from your doctor. Look at Activity from time to time, and add the numbers you trust.
- QuietLine doesn't affect calls you make, including emergency calls. It doesn't listen to or record any call.
- Text messages, and calls in other apps such as WhatsApp, are not covered.
- Android, your phone's maker or your mobile network can change how calls work. We do our best to keep QuietLine working, but it may not work the same way on every phone.
5. Please don't
- sell QuietLine, or pass off a changed copy of it as ours;
- remove our name, trade marks or these terms from it;
- use it to break the law or to harm anyone.
6. Ads and other services
The ads are provided by Google AdMob, and Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to them. We ask for calm, non-personalised ads suitable for general audiences, but we don't choose each ad.
7. Updates
We may release updates through Google Play to fix problems or improve QuietLine. We may stop offering QuietLine in the future.
8. Your privacy
Your trusted list, your activity and your settings stay on your phone. The privacy policy has the details.
9. Our responsibility to you
QuietLine is free, and we provide it as it is. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be free of faults or suit everyone, and we aren't responsible for calls that were kept quiet because they weren't on your trusted list.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility where the law doesn't allow that, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. If QuietLine damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.
10. Our names and marks
QuietLine™, QuietGuard™ and the Q mark are our trade marks. Please don't use them in a way that suggests something comes from us when it doesn't.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll publish the new version here with a new date. If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using QuietLine and uninstall it at any time.
12. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your own country's law gives you.
